Happy Guy Fawkes Day! (Belatedly, though.)
So, yesterday is usually marked by various fireworks and such in England and descendants (New Zealand, most notably). It marked the 402nd anniversary of the Gunpowder Plot to blow up the English Parliament. That, and it inspired V for Vendetta. (When our psych teacher asked yesterday, “What is your favorite holiday movie? Define holiday however you want.”, my answer was V for Vendetta. I mean, some Christmas movies are okay, but I prefer the animated shows – Charlie Brown and perhaps the Grinch, which I don’t quite consider movies.)
Speaking of small-scale pyrotechnics, I should probably be getting some of the photos of Halloween together. In fact, they’ve been collected, I’ve just been sorting out the ones that are okay for the Internet, and picking my favorites. I have a target for when to have them up, but I’m sure mentioning it would ensure that it never happens.
Also, I finished the final-pass of my Common Application base application (I think, anyway). Now, why does everyone need a supplement with half of the same information? Could you at least read the application you’re writing a supplement for? Especially if your college only accepts the Common Application? Alas.
