1000!
So, as an update to the earlier post, we now have 1,000 users. That’s great!
That’s 1.0 x 10^3. That’s 10*10*10. That is well over half of the school. I’m impressed. (Those of you who know me know that’s a lot to get as a reaction.)
I don’t plan to hit another big milestone before school, but we’ll see.
Andy
(PS. 1000! does not mean 1000 factorial. That’s a much bigger number.)
I don’t know about that. If I were to be doing that, rough calculations show it would be about 190-196 decibels where I am at, but 194 dB is the theoretical limit for a sound wave at 1 atm. For further reference, 190 dB is the estimated volume of a nuclear bomb blast. I would really be disrupting things around here if that were to happen, and the army hasn’t yet been deployed, so I’ll assume I’m not that loud.
Therefore, I submit that you are more likely hearing some other localized noise, rather than me patting myself on the back. I also submit that that comment was a tad mean-spirited. It is, after all, the extension of an idea that you brought to my attention, your “brainchild”, if you will. You should be happy as well.
